How to Have a Stress-Free and Profitable Project Start Every Time

Automation Engine

Have you ever…

  • Been unable to start or continue a client project because you’re waiting for information?

  • Started a project without a signed contract?

  • Noticed your first client call is tomorrow, but you haven’t processed the payment?

  • Felt embarrassed that you forgot to thank someone who made a referral?

The first one used to really trip me up. When I ran a branding and web design business, at first I was winging it. I blew through a lot of time in the back and forth and it slowed my business growth. I knew there was a better way, but I didn’t know where to start. Maybe you are in the same boat.

There is a simple way to fix this: automation. Automation is not about having the coolest new web apps. It’s about planning ahead. It’s about being deliberate. You direct projects to prevent a host of issues that inevitably come up when ‘winging it.’

Automation is also the next step making your service scalable and ending the time for money game. Contrary to popular belief, it will increase the quality of your service. It also makes you look even more awesome.

Let me break down the steps for you…

1. Steps and Tools. Plan steps and incorporate simple tools that will make the process smoother and more efficient.

2. Prepare. Collect the information and stock the materials that you’ll need to accomplish each step.

3. Checklist. Create a process checklist to make sure it happens flawlessly every time with little or no brain power.

I know this sounds simple. Following a proven system is simple. And it’s much easier than figuring it out through trial and error, which is what I did.

Next post I’ll show you in detail exactly how to automate the start of new projects to cut the stress and keep all the balls in the air.

These posts build on themselves. If you missed the last post 2 Game Changers Missing From Your Growth Plan read it now. I want you to be able to implement these steps fast. You need more space to grow now so you won’t delay scaling your business a moment longer.
